The Basics of the Chakra System
Our Chakra System is complex network of life energy channels that are mapped throughout our bodies. They are our subtle (and some say ‘spiritual’) nervous system. There are 7 main chakras, which run alongside our spine and are aligned with certain organs and glands. They have specific functions and vibrations.
There is no shortage of information about the chakras, and as such, it can be most intimidating to learn!
In this “Basics of the Chakra System” class, I will present a “Down-To-Earth” explanation of the system—bringing greater understanding of its vital role in our lives!
I will also share with students, ways to set up your own “Chakra Altar”, to further your own work in bringing greater balance to your chakras!
Hand-outs will be provided. If desired, bring a journal to take notes!
Tuition Cost $75 per student
The “Basics of the Chakra System” is approximately 3 hours long.
Living the 5 Agreements
This class is based on the work of both Don Miguel Ruiz, who wrote the book “The Four Agreements”; and that of his son, Don Jose Ruiz—who wrote “The Fifth Agreement”.
Briefly, the Four Agreements (by Don Miguel Ruiz) are:
* Be impeccable with your word
* Don’t take anything personally
* Don’t make assumptions
* Always do your best
The Fifth Agreement (by Don Jose Ruiz) is:
* Be skeptical, but learn to listen
In this class, I will share with students the remarkable and unmistakable ways learning to live within the teachings of “The Agreements” will change your life FOREVER.
My commitment and learning to live the by the Five Agreements has greatly improved my life, and my relationships with my family, friends, co-workers…and the world in general.
Students will be able to share their experiences as we discuss each of the “Agreements”, and work on ways to forever incorporate and weave this wisdom into our bones!
Tuition Cost $75 per student
The “Living the Five Agreements Class” is approximately 3 hours long.
Creating Sacred Space
Sacred space can be anywhere you designate it to be!
It doesn’t need a cathedral-sized room. It doesn’t need a “priest or priestess”. It doesn’t need a choir, ornate furnishings, or expensive objects.
Sacred Space does need a space or location where you can “turn up the quiet”… a place where your mind can unbend, and focus.
Sacred Space is created by a
“Declaration of INTENTION” in a defined location.
Sacred Space can be in a spare bedroom. A closet. A quiet undisturbed corner. A chair out in the yard.
Sacred Space does need a RITUAL to anchor it in place. Your ritual.
In this class, I will share with students some ideas and practices to create Sacred Space. This will include ideas of setting up an “altar”, designing your own personal “invocation” to recite before your meditation or quiet time—and simple “practices of acknowledgment” if time constraints prevent you from being able to be “in-the-space” for more than 3 minutes!
Students are encouraged to bring objects that they would like to use to set up an “altar”! We will PLAY and share.
Tuition Cost $75 per student
The “Creating Sacred Space Class” is approximately 3 hours
Learning to Listen through use of the Talking Stick
Real and True listening is an “art and a discipline”.
In these days and times—our world has entered into the “Tower of Babble”, where people are Talk-Talk-Talking with doing very little real listening. Although information can be shared in lightning speed, LISTENING has become very difficult because of the constant noise of the world! Being able to fully express ourselves without being interrupted is a gift! It is a gift that we both receive and give to others as we sit in discussion.
Employing the ancient tool of the “Talking Stick”, I will share with you techniques to help you settle down and LISTEN, while another person is expressing themselves—be it because of a hurt, a frustration, a disagreement, or in the case of arriving at a group consensus about common issue or matter within a group of people.
Use of the Talking Stick is thousands of years old, and it is interesting to know that many large corporations are beginning to use this tool in board rooms, work groups, and other gatherings where ideas need to be shared and discussed with patience and compassion.
In this class, I will share with students ways and techniques of using the Talking Stick and to sit in “circles”, where issues can be shared and discussed, without interruption, and to be able to listen without feeling the need to interrupt!
This a 2-session workshop type class, where students meet in Session 1 to the instruction, then in Session 2, the class will reconvene to create their own “Talking Sticks”!
Tuition Cost
$100 per student—Session 1 only
$185 per student—For Session 1 & 2
Both sessions of the “Learning to Listen Class” is approximately 3 hours long, each session. Students may elect to take Session 1 only.
